Origami Dollar Heart Instructions

Origami heart that is not made from a square paper, but any rectangular paper that's at least twice as long as it's wide, like a dollar bill or the leftover piece of paper you get when you make a square piece of paper from regular notebook paper.

I like it but why do you use grid paper? by 31hray123 – 31hray123 10/25/17 6:23 PM

Step 1

Take your rectangular paper and fold a corner like in the picture and back, then fold in the other direction.

Step 2

Now fold in the opposite direction along the line where the two previous folds meet

Step 3

With all the folds you just made push the paper down like in picture number 2 and repeat all previous steps on the other side of the paper

Step 4

Fold a corner in half and push it down to squash it

Step 5

Repeat step 4 on the other flap and do the same on the other side of the paper

Step 6

Fold part of the square flap along the diagonal line of the square. Then spread it open and squash it down like in step 4. Do the same with the flap on the other side of the diagonal

Step 7

Repeat step 6 three more times on all other square flaps and turn the paper over. Now fold one of the flaps down.

Step 8

Turn the paper over again and fold along the shaded line, or until the two sides meet and turn the paper over back again.

Step 9

Fold the top flap down to reveal the heart shape and fold the two bottom corner flaps down together. Then fold the two corners on the sides of the heart slightly, like in picture 3 to shape the heart

Step 10

Turn the paper over to reveal the heart
